Dedicated to my Husband…the Love of my Life

In the gentle glow of evening’s end,
I find my heart, my dearest friend.
Your love, a melody soft and sweet,
A symphony that makes life complete.

Your hands, they hold my dreams with care,
In every touch, your love laid bare.
Through every trial, every mile we roam,
With you, I find my true home.

Your voice, a balm to soothe my soul,
In every word, I feel whole.
Your laughter, a light in the dark,
Ignites in me a hopeful spark.

As seasons change and moments pass,
Your love, a constant, like the grass.
Through every high, through every low,
Your love’s the guide, the path I know.

So let me cherish, day by day,
The love you give in every way.
For in your heart, I’ve found my own,
A love so deep, I’ve never known.

My Never Forever

My never forever….

Everything I dreamt of without a doubt

Sending me beautiful messages, he was all I could reminisce about

Spoken words of affirmation that lifted my spirits and had me on cloud nine

But then I saw him for who he really was, it was all a lie

I fought and I fought to let him go

But I could not endure the pain bestowed

Silent tears I cry while lying in bed

Thoughts of him dancing in my head

Asking myself should I stay or should I go

I can’t take it no more

Can I survive being alone

Left with uncertainty and the unknown

But once again he draws me in

Something about him that fills me within

I loved him from the start

He will always have a special place in my heart

But he is not the same today as he was yesterday

He didn’t love me the way he portrayed

I know I shouldn’t have stayed

But I was too afraid to walk away from him, causing me to feel blue

Even though I knew his love was untrue

Finally, I see

That walking away is the best for me

Never will I forget the way he made me feel

Going back to what I know is real

Taking back with me my time, I knew he never was or will be mine

My never forever….
